HELPFUL INFORMATION
Office Hours: Our
office is open Monday-Saturday, 9:00
am-5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm-4:00 pm. If you need to reach us after hours, you may
leave a message on our voice mail which is routinely checked when the office
is closed.
Reservations: All
reservations require a 50% deposit before a lease is processed. The balance is due on the occupancy date. The only exception to this is in the case of
a one week rental which requires payment in full before a lease is
processed. We do accept personal checks
for payments but do not accept credit cards.
Sight Unseen Rentals:
Tenants are welcomed to personally preview their accommodations
before signing a lease. Should the
tenant decide to rent a property sight unseen, neither Peterson Realty nor the
landlord will be held responsible for any misunderstandings or problems
otherwise avoided had the tenant personally inspected the property prior to the
execution of the lease.
Security Deposits:
Landlords require us to collect a security deposit which is due upon occupancy along with the
balance of your rental payment.
This security deposit is held in a non-interest account and is returned
to you within two weeks of your check-out provided the house is left clean and
ready for the next tenant and there is no damage to the property. Should you not want to clean the house after
vacating we can arrange for a service to do so and will deduct the cleaning fee
from your security deposit.
Pets: As
the lease clearly states, pets
of any type are not allowed. If
you bring an animal, you are in violation of the lease and will be asked to
vacate with no refund of rent or security deposit.
Cancellations: Once a reservation is made and signed
leases are in effect and you cancel for any reason, we will make every effort
to re-rent the property for you. You
must notify us in writing that you wish us to do so. If the property is re-rented for the time
cancelled, we will refund your deposit less a 10% handling fee. If the property is not re-rented, you will
lose any monies paid (less security deposit) plus you are liable to the
landlord for the balance of the rent.
Check-in and Check-out Time: Check-in time is 2:00 pm unless otherwise stated on your
lease. Check-out time is 10:00 am. Please have the house cleaned and ready for
the next tenant (unless
you have contracted the cleaning service) and return the keys to our
office.
